Ben Osterhouse, Cello
Benjamin Osterhouse is currently pursuing a doctorate in cello performance, studying with Tanya Remenikova. During his college career he gave solo performances with the University of Minnesota’s Symphony Orchestra, the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, the Two Rivers Chorale, and the University of Northwestern Orchestra. He has performed twice on Minnesota Public Radio; once performing a solo cello piece he wrote, and more recently played the chamber compositions of Minnesota Varsity Featured Composers. He freelances and teaches cello and piano in the Twin Cities, and subs with orchestras in the upper midwest states. His goals are to continue growing as a well-rounded musician, focusing especially on cello and composition, and to seek out entrepreneurial ways to use his abilities.
